October 23, 2007 Siimpel Inc., an Arcadia, Calif.-based maker of integrated optical microsystems, has raised $21.5 million in Series D funding at a post-money valuation of approximately $49 million. SunAmerica Ventures led the deal, and was joined by Motorola Ventures and return backers DFJ, Global Catalyst Partners, Portage Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners and Zone Venture Partners.
