JasperSoft Nabs Former Sun Exec For Board

JasperSoft Corp., a provider of open-source business intelligence
software, has snagged former Sun Microsystems Inc. executive Edward
Saliba for its board of directors.
Saliba spent 12 years at Sun, where he held positions including
vice president of finance and operations, vice president of human
resources, and vice president of operations and chief of staff
for iPlanet, a Sun and AOL LLC alliance. He is currently consulting
Tula Technology Inc.
JasperSoft, based in San Francisco, last raised financing with
a $12 million Series D round led by Scale Venture Partners in August
2007. Other investors include SAP Ventures, DCM, Morgenthaler Ventures
and Partech International. The company has raised $35.3 million
to date, VentureWire records show.
