| Mary joined Scale Venture Partners as Chief Financial Officer in 2007 and is responsible for the financial management and administrative functions of the firm. Mary has almost two decades of experience in finance and in the venture capital industry and currently serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the VCBC, an organization for financial professionals in the venture industry, and is also a member of the National Venture Capital Association CFO Taskforce.
Prior to joining ScaleVP, Mary was Chief Financial Officer for five years at Global Catalyst Partners, an international venture firm with more than $300M under management and approximately 250 limited partners based in Redwood Shores. Prior to Global Catalyst Partners, Mary was the Controller at Kleiner Perkins Caulfield and Byers, a Menlo Park based venture capital firm for six years. As Controller, she was responsible for management, accounting, reporting and investor relations for more than 25 venture capital funds with over $3 Billion in assets and more than 1,000 limited partners. Prior to joining Kleiner Perkins, Mary held a senior finance position at Polycom during its early stages and assisted in the building of the company’s infrastructure and completion of its successful IPO in 1996. Mary began her finance career at Price Waterhouse Coopers and continues to be an active Certified Public Accountant. She earned an M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from Santa Clara University. |
