Scale Venture Partners Promotes Alexander Niehenke to Partner, Susan Liu to Principal

In a business like venture capital, it’s all about people and how they work together as a team.  We are proud of the team we have built here at ScaleVP and I am thrilled to announce the promotion of Alexander Niehenke to Partner, Susan Liu to Principal and Jeremy Kauffmann to Sr. Associate.

Alexander Niehenke has been a valuable member of our team since 2013. Alexander invests in SaaS business applications with a focus on FinTech and Vertical SaaS. It is from this experience that Alexander has built a strong reputation for trends impacting enterprise SaaS companies from moving upmarket   to identifying an effective go to market strategy. Recently, Alexander led our investment in KeepTruckin, a mobile-first telematics solution for the long-haul trucking industry. Furthermore, Alexander has been instrumental in ScaleVP’s investments in Forter, DroneDeploy and Demandbase. He continues his focus on SaaS business applications, most recently digging into how the insurance industry will be transformed by technology.

Susan Liu joined ScaleVP in 2012 and has played a pivotal role on the investment team. Susan focuses on AI-driven business applications specifically in HR Tech, productivity and most recently voice technology. Since she started, she has proven the ability to uncover exciting companies having originated ScaleVP’s investments in WalkMe, Lever, Wrike, Namely, Textio, and TalkIQ. Susan is also on the founding team of Women in Network (WIN), a not-for-profit organization, founded to encourage females in the professional workplace by fostering mentorship between undergraduate students and working professionals.

Jeremy Kaufmann has been promoted to Senior Associate. Jeremy has been an important member of the investment team working closely to source and evaluate a number of companies. He’s worked on a number of investments including Lever and Textio and recently originated one of ScaleVP’s recent but not announced investments.

Congratulations Alexander, Susan, Jeremy!
