A.J. Aldana

A.J. is the Head of Ecosystem at Scale, fostering relationships across founders, engineers, talented operators, and investors.
A.J. is originally from Southern California. His entrepreneurial spirit started early. His first business was selling duct tape wallets, and he learned the fundamentals of building from scratch by watching his mom open her own salon. He graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Engineering, Product Design.
Prior to Scale, A.J. was an Operations Manager at Neo, a venture capital firm, where he built community programming, content strategy, and partnership initiatives for the portfolio. Earlier in his career, he was Creative Project Manager and Social Media Manager at wikiHow and served as Assistant Director at Stanford Sierra Camp, where he learned the fundamentals of managing teams, operations, and programming under pressure.
Outside of work, A.J. is an endurance athlete. He's through-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (2,650 miles in 4.5 months), biked around Lake Tahoe five times, and is training for his next ultramarathon. He's also a dedicated Spotify curator, having created monthly playlists since 2017.
