Maggie is a Partner at Scale focused on AI, infrastructure, and the creative suite. She partners with technical founders whose domain expertise enables exceptional buyer understanding or unique technical breakthroughs.

Before joining Scale, Maggie was an MLE at QuantCo where she built and deployed AI models within enterprise customers. She studied Computer Science, Engineering, and Comparative Religion at Harvard and did her research in deep learning.

Outside of work, you can find Maggie surfing, running, skiing, or pursuing her creative interests in painting and design.

Exceptional things rarely look like the things around them. That's true for people, and it's true for products. It's hard to get excited when a product looks like ten others you've seen that week. Post-AI, it's even harder to avoid converging to the median.
But some things just make you think, oh, this is different. Maybe it's an exceptional level of taste or a particularly sophisticated UI. Maybe it's an outright technical breakthrough. Maybe it's an entirely different approach to solving the problem.
Sometimes the hardest part is just getting into the arena. It’s easy to romanticize the win conditions that assume you are already inside and to deride the ugly steps involved in getting there. Having the best product feels more deserving than having the best brand and marketing. Being the sharpest thinker feels more pure than grinding your way into the right circles. In the end it’s all important. Being unwilling to do the ugly stuff does not mean you are better than everyone or overlooked. It probably means you are just lazy or in the wrong career.
