Edi is a Senior Associate at Scale investing in AI apps. His most recent investment was in GC AI, a legal AI tool for in-house counsel.

Edi is originally from Romania by way of Northern Virginia. He was exposed to technology early on, starting with video games as a young child before learning to code in middle school. He graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Computer Science and Managerial Studies, and a minor in Business.

Prior to joining Scale, Edi worked as an analyst at McKinsey, advising clients in industries from energy and tech to consumer goods, and as a software engineer at Facebook and the Federal Reserve. Before joining the investing team, Edi was a product manager for Scale Studio, the firm's internal data platform, working with portfolio companies and startups across the ecosystem to create a set of industry benchmarks quantifying growth and efficiency metrics at different ARR scales.

Outside of work, Edi is a fitness enthusiast, leatherworker, and enjoys the occasional walk in Alamo or the Panhandle with a warm cup of coffee.
